User manager for domains

In the past I have used User manager for domains to change, add and delete users and their properties remotely on NT workstations and member servers. Now when I use this Admin tool to try and access an NT box remotely I receive the error ” Could notfind domain controller for this domain”. Either it has been so long since I’ve used this tool that I am missing a step or there is there something wrong.
