User not listed in User Manager

While migrating from Novell to WinNT 4.0 and copying the users profile through the control panel’s System/Profiles the user is not listed in the User Manager. Because of this I cannot assign any rights for the user to his local WinNT Workstation. After noticing this I manually added that username to the Workstation and assigned the appropriate rights for the user but when user logs into domain the rights are not in effect. Am I missing something?
