User permissions for apps & docs.

Win2KPro standalone WS with PPP to internet.
I autologon as a user in the Power Users group for daily and online use. Some apps. require Admin rights to install so I use Run As to accomodate them but then I cannot run the app as a Power User! Even some pdf docs are requiring Admin rights to view them. A well known author of one of these apps. suggested installing the compatws.inf security template which did no good for this problem, and now Netscape has a registry error when it opens. I don’t want to run all day as Admin (and go online) but I want access to all apps and docs.
How can I accomplish this?
