User Profile

I work tech support for a company containg appx. 300 users. We run mostly NT servers with a slow migration towards 2000 desktops, the rest are still NT. We do not use roaming profiles only local. Everytime we add users to a computer we have to manually configure a new profile, consisting of drive mappings, printer mappings, outlook settings, IE settings and eplorer settings. I know a batch file could setup printers and drive mappings but how could I make a template for the other programs. (Registry hack, third party software, etc.) I welcome all ideas.
