User Profiles perhaps…

by it . Updated 23 years, 3 months ago

Good morning. I have a 40 user NT4 LAN with all end users on XP Pro. No user has any important personal files, with most accessing an Access DB stored on the server. There are however email settings, printer settings and telephone related settings (mapi, call screen popping etc) that all relate to the user. From time to time these users are lelocated in other parts of the building and the easiest way for me to accommadate this is to simply pick up the PC and move it to the new location, then repatch the telephone cabinet to suit. I am not too familiar with XP Pro but am fairly confident there is a better way of doing this thru user profiles or some other method. Basically if a user moves desk is there a way to take all of there settings with them to prevent me having to reset up Outlook, desktop settings etc etc etc.
Thanx for your time
