Using MSN and Compuserve Together

I have CompuServe & MSN on my Windows 98 Computer. I HAVE TO log into CompuServe to get to MSN. I’ve tried everything. If I unload both and reload MSN, it won’t work at all. If I upgrade CompuServe from 2000 to 2000a or 2000b, it always cannot connect until it dials the second telephone number in my modem dial-up list.
I have to open CompuServe, Dial In, minimize and then click on MSN and log in to MSN.
Any suggestions on how to keep the two separate? Or, at least get MSN to work after unloading CompuServe?
