Using same w2k profile mobile n LAN mode

Could someone PLEASE tell me whether there is a way to use the same desktop environment on a notebook when in mobile mode aswell as when it is docked (logged onto a win2k domain). From what i can see it loads up 2 seperate profiles. Is this the caseif so how can i stop this. Thanks
