I am a Project Analyst on an initiative to standardize all desktops in the company I am working for right now. As part of this initiative, we are converting our desktops from Windows NT4 and 2000 to Windows XP. To capture current user states, we are currently going in the direction of using microsoft’s User State Migration Tool (USMT). due to some early feedback from the support community, we discovered that it may not be the best tool.
I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for an alternative to the USMT. So far, I have come up with PwerQuest In-Place Migration, Eisenworld PC Relocator Professional, Tranxition PT Pro, Tranxition Migration Studio, and Boss U-Win.
Any other alternatives would be very helpful. Also, any comments on the other tools I listed would be helpful.
