Utility to send alerts based on Event ID

Respectfully:

Is there any software that can be configured to send pager or e-mail alerts based on specific Event ID’s in the NT Event Log? For instance, if a service dies and other applications start generating events in the log, I’d like to bealerted. Thanks for any suggestions.
