VB & MS Outlook Items

Hello World! Could anyone please help me?

I want to use VB to access an Outlook mail item that is NOT stored under any Outlook folders, i.e. it could be a mail copied to any directory in the C:\ drive. Is there a way to reference this mail item in VB and still treat it as an Outlook mail item?
