video card

I installed an ati all-in-wonder 8500 dv video card and now my computer hangs after the bios screen for about 15 min with a black screen before starting windows.

This problem occured before installing any of the drivers and persists though drivers have been installed and everything else works fine after it starts windows.

I’ve tried updating the bios.

Any ideas?
