Virus Attack on Win 95!

by huang_jack . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

My computer was infected with Win95/MTX.gen@M virus which changed wsock32.dll and ALL files in my WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory.

McAfee detected the virus only after I ran a scan on my drive. The files could not be cleaned, only delete. But deleting all the files make my WIN95 unoperatable. Now I am stucked. I have contacted McAfee and read the instructions on how to manually remove the virus, but it will not work in my case. How do I copy get a new copy of WINDOWS/SYSTEMS files install on my PC so I can boot up and access my other files on the hard drive?
