Virus W95.SPaces.1445

I have a win95 workstation with 188 files infected with this virus that attacks exe, I scanned from another system using norton2000v6 and although it detects the virus, it will not repair or remove it. So then I try to install Norton2000 on the infected system and of course it will not work, the virus infects norton

Until I can fix this I detached this system from the network. I am hoping to find a way to clean this virus without having to re-format the drive and completely re-install the workstation. I cant make rescue disks as you have to do this before the system is infected. Any suggestions to save me here!!!!
