Vista Crashes when being Shut Down

Im sure it’s an issue that a patch caused that the others didn’t fix. When i tell it to shut down, It goes to the Blue screen and says something about a physical memory dump. After that the PC reboots. I can’t remember when it started, Anyways If it is because i installed a application incorrectly, is there a way to fix it without restoring my PC or deleting Software.
