Vista Home Preium

I generated a a health system report in vista from realibility and performance tool. and it state that i did not passed” disk check. Under the D the syptom is that alot of space has been use . Is this normal in the recovery portion/partition? in the D harddrive. Is there a solution? I went into comand prompt and typed “vssadmin” resdudce the size and it seems to still be leaving me with 1gb from o8gb. I only use this computer for the internet. I have stored nothing in it.
