Visual Basic 6

I have an application I have developed in VB6. The program works fine on my winxp home and pro, and it was developed on a win 98 machine. I installed it on another computer at my office, and it is not working correctly now on that windows 98SE machine. It takes information from a series of text boxes in my application and dumps them into excel for later manipulation. Durring the error process on the 98SE machine, it stops after opening excel and before writing to excel. I am recieving an automation error. I hope someone can help, or at least point me in the right direction. It is going to become a .net project, but I need this resolved before I get into that.
