VMWare

About setting up VMWare, on the host machine (W2K srv) what services need can be disabled and what should be taken into consideration as to the security of the host machine, also should the host machine be part of the domain, or logged on locally, Iam using VMWare GSX to consolidate servers in my network. Are there any good websites or references for the cofiguration of VMWare.
I just need general answers, enough to get my pointed int the right direction.
