We are trying to establish Remote access VPN using windows 2000 …
after connecting to our NAS i try to make establish VPN connection to
one of our internal Win2k Server (acting as VPN Server with RRAS
enabled) and i am dailing from win2kPro(acting as vpn client) . I m
trying to configure a L2TP/IPSec Connection Using Pre-shared Key
Authentication described from microsoft ppl in the following document.

Inspite of all this i recive the following error ever time i try to
establish VPN tunnel ‘
error :742 “THE REMOTE COMPUTER DOES NOT SUPPORT THE REQUIERD DATA
ENCRIPTION TYPE” ‘
and one thing more i’ve installed 128 bit encription patch (available
on microsoft site) on both client n VPN sever to match the encryption
level on both end.
Please any body here can give me any clue or can pin point the
mistake’s i’m making ?
