VPN from a 2000 Pro Machine

Hey,

I am having trouble with a 2000 Pro Machine in connecting to a VPN. I have verified with three other machines, (2000 Server, XP Pro, & 98) that nothing is causing issues from the network. All but the server is using DHCP.
When I try to connect, I get the message verifing username and password. It then will timeout without connecting. The server on the other side reports a successfull connection. What can I do?
