VPN ISSUE

How do you resolve a VPN issue? I issue is I have a VPN connection with a client which I am able to connect. However I am not able to access the client using either Meditech or Reflections. I can ping the clients server and the ip of the server, butI can’t ping the ip address that has been statically assigned to me. Can anyone help me with my issue?
