vpn issues

I have a small peer to peer network at home, and would like to gain access to it when I’m traveling, I set up a vpn forwarded the the proper ports on my router and check marked the vpn to gain access to all the computers on my network but I’m only able to see the one that I actually first connect to. I do have netbeui installed on all machines. I’m also running Winxp pro on all machines. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
