VPN ON NT 4.0 DSL ROUTER

by khiem524 . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

My office is currently using ADSL internet service from Pacbell (part of the SBC Network) with a Cayman 3220 DSL Router. I have successful setup NAT and Pinhole configuration for PcAnywhere connection via TCP/IP. I had to configure the Cayman routerto use specific port TCP and UDP portID for PcAnywhere.

My problem is that I am trying to setup VPN on my WIN NT 4.0 Server with service pack 6 and I can’t get it to work. I tried setting up the TCP/UDP port on the router to read my NT SERVER’S STATIC IP ADDRESS. I think I setup the proper adapter (RAS) and PPTP protocol on my NT 4.0 SERVER correctly, but was unable to get it to work properly.

Is there a book or website that I can go to help me with this? I appreciate all the help I canget.

Thanks.
