VPN OUT TO INTERNET ON WIN2K Adv. Serv.

by hi-temp . Updated 24 years, 4 months ago

Okay, I’ll try to be as detailed as possible, here it goes:
OS: Windows 2000 Advanced Server

Our problem is that we are trying to get clients of the local/private network (ip’s 192.168.0.x – static assigned) to dial-up a VPN connection and then be able to make it out to the internet through the VPN server. We have read and reread all of the knowledge base/support articles and followed them step by step. We were able to get a VPN connection but the default gateway is assigned to be the same IP as the client that just dialed in.

We are a WISP so we need to be able to have people that are on our WLAN to be able to pull up a VPN connection and get to the internet.

Any and all help is appreciated, if anyone can provide step-by-step instructions, hints, past experiences, etc. it would be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to call us, that would be awesome, and help us out, we would gladly call you back as to not run up your phone bill. The numbers to reach us @are 270.384.6408 or 270.634.1332

If this isn’t detailed enough, just let me know and I’ll post back immediately.
