w2k-adjust usb bandwidth??

I keep getting usb bandwidth exceeded errors. Only devices are a USB modem
and USB sound system.(microsoft digital sound system, which cuts out after an error)

Does anyone know of registry or configuration changes available for usb bandwidth limits??

I’m using the on-board controller on an Intel OR840 workstation motherboard.
