W2K file and print server problems

I’m going from an NT 4.0 file and print server, with 96 various HP printers, to a w2k advanced server. I am also using HP’s Jet Admin v.3.42.

After the first hour in production the print spool locked up as well as the ability to install and view properties on the printers. The usual stop and restart of the print spool had no effect. Event viewer was showing an error 1722, which according to Microsoft, points to HP Jet Admin problems.

After several reboots the problem still remains and I’mnot finding any related issues out there.

Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas on resolving this?
