W2K Network Ident Description Field

I have Windows 2000 Professional / SP2: New install from Norton Ghost 7 clone (sysprep)(Have not checked original)- Administrator on local machine:

When I try to add the description,(My computer – Manage – right click Computer Management (Local)-properties – Network Ident Tab – Description) box is visable but cannot be accessed. Adding the description from the commandline or registry is successful but when viewing the properties it does not show up – the description field is grey.

Pleasehelp?
