W2K Program Error

There’s this error that pops up every minute on my screen saying:

WinMgmt.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You need to restart the program. An error log is being created.

I’ve been trying to stop this message from appearing by using the help option in the event viewer but was in vain. The message keeps on appearing and is disturbing me. I know the last option I would do is to reinstall Win2000.

But is there a way you could help me troubleshoot this software problem without reinstalling Win2000?
