User Profile Problems…
Problem Description:
Having a tough time fixing new user profiles on Win2K Pro workstations. Initial user is fine, however, any additional users produce a Event ID: 1000 Profile error.

Description:
Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.
I searched everywhere andno resolution can be found. In MS Knowledge Base (Q289158) it says apply SP2…which I did and it still doesn’t work.

I’ve also tried creating profiles for new users with correct W2K security permissions and that didn’t work. This happens on very single W2K Pro client we have!
There are no group policies or any roaming profiles defined in AD or on any Domain Controllers.
