W2kPro Mouse

I am running Windows 2000 Professional on 1 of my systems with a dual boot to windows 98.
When I run windows 2000 Pro my mouse does not work 90% of the time. I am using a PS/2
mouse and I have installed Service pack 1 & 2
for Windows 2000 Pro. Can anybody help me?
Any suggestions?
