w98SE PC can’t see W2K server

Got a new PC running W98SE. It can access shared folders on other PC’s in the workgroup, and vice versa, but can’t see the W2000 server. It can ping the server OK. If I do Find Computer and ask for the server, it does not find server. At the server,in My Network places, the new PC shows up on the list of the PC’s in the workgroup, but if I try to open it, it fails saying “not accessible. the network path was not found.”
