Waking upto dot Net.

I am a Windows/C++ developer and have now been asked by my group to start building competencies in dot Net way of doing things.I need to know from where i can start and then build up my knowledge , so that my down time is as low as possible.please do give references of websites and other knowledge repositories available on dot Net.
