wayward files

windows 2003 server
This afternoon I noticed that nay email sent or received after May 30th has disappeared. Similarly any file saved has also gone away. I was trying to create an ISO of a Data disk and received a memory error. I restarted the computer and noticed the above problem. Does anyone have any ideas on fixing this? Please ask for more info or reply with possible solutions
