Web interface – VBNET vs. VB6?

I do some application development for in-house using Visual Basic. I have not done any web applications development so far.

A project requiring a web interface which will connect to Oracle database is coming soon. From what I’ve read ASP is the way to go.

Presently I have VB6 as development tool. My questions are:
– Can I use VB6 for development of such web application or I definitely have to have VBNET?
– What would be a good book somebody can suggest to walk me through the development stages for the above described project?
