Webcam:Advice Needed

We have had our garden redesigned this year and we thought it would be fun to show it “live” on a website. I don’t pretend to have anyy experience of webcams or network cameras,apart from the cheaper ones that come occasionally bundled with customer’s pcs, although I have visited websites where they are used. E.g London Traffic Cams etc.
What type of camera is best for this type of project and is any additional software needed to update the images? I have an ISDN connection to my ISP. Update every five or ten minutes would be adequate. Garden is about 25 ft long and I would probably place the camera in the upstairs window facing the garden.
