what are the procedures and impacts when changing administrator’s password

Hi to all!!

I have client who has an IT department with 3 administrators + 30 staff. They have Novell, NT 4.0, + Unix SCO servers running in the environment.
I need to write a report on what are the steps and impact when changing the administrator’s password in these environment. because 2 administrators have be fired.
