I have an Athlon 2000 XP, with a 64mb Nvidia video card, 120gb harddrive, 256mb of ram, running Windows XP. I recently put a DVD drive in my computer. I am using PowerDVD to watch my DVD videos. After about 15 minutes of play, the player suddenly stops. Now, I can resume from where the player stopped, but it only goes for about another 15-20 minutes. The longest it has played is around 45 minutes. I know I have the correct drivers for my video card, and the DVD rom. It does this on all of my DVD’s. I have also tried using windows media player 9 to play DVD’s, but had the same result. Do you know of anything I could be missing that would cause this problem? I have checked into the DVD player having problems with dual-layer discs, but that checked out fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
