ATTN: theChas. Thanks for your input but ram is not a problem. I have 256K and am good at keeping my registry clean of junk files. My PC is left on the nights maintenance is to be performed and it hasn’t been too long since I formated my HD. Thekey issue here is…why does my pc freeze up like I said prviously when I am in an offline application like WordPereect and not connected to the Internet?. In addition to all the other things I have told you, I make use of my system’s resourse meter and per chance I get low on resources I would get a prompt warning me so… as I used to get before I boosted my ram. What now. Oh one last point. Where I worked last they had a simular HP scanner connected to a Compaq and it didn’t have any Internet Browser software on it……not a bit of problems???????
What now?. I seem to come up with darnedest things that even most PC dealer/repair stores can’t even answer. Perhaps I have a little Gremlin running around inside my PC 🙂 I have anIdea and I am going to see if I can get it to work. I am weary of this mess. Hope you might come up with something if my idea doesn’t work out.
