What with Internet Explorer 5.5 sp 2

I am coding with xhtml 1.0 strict and transitional dtd’s. I have a .css entry img {border: none; border:0;} which works well for both Netscape 4.x+ and Internet Explorer 5.5 service pack 2. I am working in NT 4.0 SP 6. I recently upgraded my Internet Explorer to service pack 2 and have discovered that the spacer images are visible.

Has anyone else encountered this issue with Internet Explorer 5.5 service pack 2?
