When I double click C, I get this messag

In Windows Nt 4.0 workstation:
When I’m in My Computer..I double click C and get this message..”Please go to the Control panel and configure system components”..the C drive will not open.
I can’t figure out what that means.
BUT using Windows Explorer, I can open the C drive.
Any ideas?
