Something very strange happened to my Win XP box. (home PC). I accessed my files in My Documents with no problem as I had always done, then one day I log on and I get a message that my profile is corrupt. I think nothing of it, the OS loads and go to My Documents and no files. I later find them in my profile folder in C:\Documents and Settings etc. and I copied them back to My Documents. Days go past and I access my PC again and guess what? no files, they are all gone no where to be found. Whathappened? I am the only person that has access to my PC at home and I know I didn’t delete my data. What caused my profile to become corrupt? I don’t have any viruses. I tried to roll back the system – didn’t work. I found a free utility to undelete files. I found my missing files in the Recycler with the help of this software. TRouble is, it will only recover files 68K and under. Help!
