Which Exchange Model…?

Here’s my thing…
Our company has two branches each with,
1. an ISP
2. an Exchange server
3. an email address
We want to ‘collapse’ this so that one email address will suffice for both companies. We will be using the current system as we promote the new one. My question is – has anyone done this before?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
