Why is Kazaa eating up my memory?

I am running Xp home and just receintly if Kazaa is running, It will hang and cause other programs to hang also. It does this even when it is the only program running. Now, I am on a 2+ gig processor and have over a gigi of ram. The only other thingI can say is that when I run the task manager also, I notice that Kazaa has a lot of page faults. Any help here would be great.
