will burn data cd’s, but not audio cd’s

My client has an XP computer. It was upgraded from ME. Before he was able to burn music cds, but now he can’t.

He is using Nero 5.5. We can burn data cd’s fine.
When we try to burn a music cd, the progress bar stops at 2% and just hangs there. The light on the writer does not come on. You also cannot close the program.
