WIN 2K BOOT DISK

by rubsmong . Updated 19 years, 7 months ago

i have a win 2k autorun cd which was supplied with one of our older machines–this cd is not bootable but it can autorun and can only be installed in a GUI environment??? i wanted to install it on a different system—on exploring the cd i found out that it has a folder called boot—on exploring this folder i found it has an executable file makebootdisk32.exe—on launching this file it launches a dos like window which guides one on easy sure ways on how to make four high density win2k bootable diskettes—it sure does create this diskettes and they sure do boot—Problem is my other system is running on win xp and i wanted to downgrade it to win2k (good reason)–this cd cant autorun since this machine has a higher OS–i surely could boot with the diskettes BUT my machine doesnt have a diskette drive–it came with a seal and it is under warranty so my opening it and connecting a floppy drive is out of the question since any tampering with the seal voids the warranty–so i was thinking on how i cud burn a bootable cd using this diskettes–make the cd boot as the diskettes do— so i used nero express 6.0—when it required that i specify the source i gave it the path and inserted the first bootable diskette—surely the cd is burnt and it sure boots but only upto some point where it asks “please insert disk 2 and press any key to continue” surely i got no drive so how i do that is@!@$—i went back and burnt this cd but this time round i included the contents of disk 2-4 in it–i rebooted but still the same prob—any ideas on how i can burn this cd without the ” insert disk X” issue—i need a bootable cd with all the 4 disks images—which file shud i edit???? or how else can this cd be made??? HELP.
