Win 2k folder access from other clients

I am running a 8 client peer to peer with two win 2k clients and 6 win 98 clients. When I try to open a folder on a win2k box I get a password window which won’t accept any entries I make. But I can view other folders on win98 boxes from a win 2k box. Any suggestions I have overlooked? Thanks
