Win 2k installation

Ok, I’ve had problems on several installs of Windows 2000 (Pro, Server, AS.. doesn’t matter). This is all on the same machine. Most of the time the install will go most of the way through, and then crash with an ntkernel dump. I’m thinking this has to be hardware, since obviously multiple OS install CD’s can’t ALL be bad. Anyone have any previous experience like this or know what the problem is? Thanks!
