Win 98

Currently running win 98. Received an error that said missing win.com files. Have tried numerous ways to find and have not been successful. I am being told that I have to reinstall 98. The only thing that comes up is a c prompt. It also appears that my DVD and CDRW drive are not working. Cannot seem to get the DVD drive to recognise there is a disk in it. Need immediately help. Gary
