Win 98 won’t resolve names (not config)!

Have you ever seen a machine that will not resolve names or only does so erratically from the command line? IE won’t work at all. I can ping IP addresses, but when it comes to name resolution, it won’t work for the most part. YES, IP, DNS, and gateway are set correct, I am certain of this. I have elimiated hardware (another install works).

This is a problem with Windows. I have replaced wsock32 and winsock. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Novell client as well as TCP/IP from the network applet.

I’ve done an overlay install. I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE (just in case).

Any ideas? Is there a list of all the files that Win98 uses to network and/or resolve names?
