WIN 98SE/ Celeron

I have had problems in the past with machines running Win 98SE with a Celeron processor anything from 300 up too 1.8GHz. They seem to use up RAM memory and then lock up? The machines all have no less 128MB of RAM on board. This happens on laptops and desktops alike.
