Win Media Player 9.0

I cannot ge the player to stop “not pesponding”. I click on the Media Library, open it up, click on a somg and about 10 seconds later it freezes up, and at the top in the blue bar it says “not responding”, I then close it out, and the report error comes up, reports the error, and thats it. I then went through these steps at least ten times and it keeps giving me the no response. Could there be a script error of some kind? Or a file error? I cannot figure this out. I also wanted to uninstall, and reinstall but that is not possible, is it??
